Moses Gate Country Park

Moses Gate Country Park is large and spacious with varied landscapes from wild meadows to large ponds with ducks, geese and swans. There is also a well-equipped play area and although lacking any refreshment facilities there is often an ice cream van near the car park.

The Country Park at Moses Gate is arranged around the former mill-ponds now known as Crompton Lodges from which the park extends a good distance along the River Croal and down to its confluence with the Irwell at Nob End.

The area around the Country Park is also a designated woodland area and the area at Nob End, adjacent to the southern end of the park is an S.S.S.I.
