Lower Roddlesworth Reservoir

Lower Roddlesworth Reservoir was built at the same time as nearby Rake Brook in the middle of the 19th Century and is still in use today. The Lower Roddlesworth Reservoir is built on the River Roddlesworth although today its intake is controlled by the adjacent Upper Roddlesworth Reservoir.

There are walking paths all round Lower Roddlesworth Reservoir, although it can be quite boggy around the southern shore near the water’s edge.

Aside from the embankment on the West shore, Lower Roddlesworth Reservoir is surrounded by woodland, mostly deciduous.
