Mill Lane House (ruin)

There isn’t much left of the ruins of the old Mill Lane House in Roddlesworth Woods, a few low walls and rubble are all that remain, and an old well sited across the track.

Mill Lane House was occupied up until the latter half of the 19th Century, going derelict sometime before the turn of the 20th Century. The main track through this part of the woods here can be seen to have been constructed out of cobbled stone and still bears the name “Mill Lane” in reference to the corn mill that once stood nearby on Slipper Lowe.

There is a small waterfall on the River Roddlesworth just below the ruins.
