Hardraw

The village of Hardraw near Hawes in North Yorkshire is situated beside the confluence of the Hardraw Beck and the River Ure.

The village is most famous for Hardraw Force, a waterfall with a spectacular 100-foot drop; which is said to be the highest single drop waterfall in England. The falls are best seen after heavy rain when the water is at its fullest.

Hardraw also has a number of other attractions including the Green Dragon Inn, which dates back to the 14th century, and the Hardrawforce Mill, which is an 18th century watermill powered by the Hardraw Beck.

The village is located within the Yorkshire Dales National Park and is surrounded by some of England’s most beautiful countryside. It is an ideal base for exploring the Yorkshire Dales and for enjoying outdoor activities such as walking, cycling and climbing.
