The Grade II listed war memorial at Broad Green in Wellingborough was first unveiled on Armistice Day, 1924, with inscriptions added for the later confilcts.
Designed by local Wellingborough architect Walter Talbot Brown the memorial was built from Derbyshire gritstone for £777. The memorial comprises an 8 metre tall pillar with a moulded stone wreath and a carved poppy and ‘W’ for Wellingborough.
Behind the pillar is a curved stone wall with thirteen plaques remembering the fallen.
